Now in the Bay.

The now second place Phils (20-16) continue their two cities, seven games road trip by starting a three games weekend series against the San Francisco Giants (14-21) in AT&T Park. Lifetime against the Giants, he is 2-0 with a 3.86 ERA in three starts. Hamels is looking to get his fourth win. His opponent will be Pat Misch (0-0, 5.40), who is still looking for his first major league win. His previous start on May 2 saw him get rough up by the Phils as he pitched four innings, giving up four earned runs on five hits, in the Giants’ 6-5 10 innings lost to the Phils.

Jimmy Rollins will rejoin the ballclub in San Francisco and should come off the disable list.

The Phils will be looking to regain a tie for first place in the National League East with the Florida Marlins (20-14) who defeated the Brewers last night, 7-2, to retake complete control of first place from the Fightin’s. The Marlins will be starting a three games series against the last place Washington Nationals (15-20) in Washington. The Phils are presently .5 games ahead of the third place Atlanta Braves (18-15), who are presently riding a six games winning streak. The Braves will be travelling to Pittsburgh to meet the Pirates.
