Shane Victorino placed on fifteen-day disabled list, Domonic Brown called up from Lehigh Valley.

Shane Victorino left last night’s game with a strained left oblique after catching a fly ball. He has been placed on the fifteen-day disabled list. The Phils have called up Domonic Brown, their number one prospect from Lehigh Valley to take his place. Brown, who was hitting a combine .327 with 20 home runs and 68 RBIs in 93 games played in both Reading and Lehigh Valley will be playing in right field and will be in the line-up, starting tonight, as the Phils will move Jayson Werth to center.

Okay, Dom, let see what you can do while you’re up here. Do not disappoint us, dude!

Congrats on the winning streak you have so far! NL East looks tough with the Braves on top but the Phillies are never a team I would write off. Sorry about Victorino going on the DL D: Injuries are a pain (no pun intended :P)

best of luck!

Thanks, especially since they’d just added to it last night. Yeah, the NL East is tough, but it is getting tight right now, and hopefully will soon be getting tighter. As for the Flying Hawaiian, most of the team, except for Ryan Howard, Jayson Werth and Raul Ibanez, among the starters, have not said hello to the list, although Ibanez said hello to it last year. I’m just surprised they have not gone any lower than they have.

The Phils seem to wake up at the right time each year.

Thanks.
