The Phils then cut the Marlins’ lead in the seventh as, with runners on the corners, and with one man out, pinch hitter Pete Orr hits a pinch hit double, scoring Raul Ibanez, who had earlier doubled, and then reached third on first baseman Sanchez’s fielding error of Dane Sardinha’s grounder, making it a 3-1 Marlins’ lead, while sending Sardinha, who had been safe at first on Sanchez’s error, over to third base. The Phils then made it a 3-2 Marlins’ lead as pinch hitter Ross Gload hits into an RBI ground out, three-unassisted, scoring Sardinha, while sending Orr on to third. The Phils then tied it up at three-all in the eighth as Shane Victorino hits a lead-off home run, his sixth home run of the year.
