The Phils rally late to give Roy Oswalt his first win in over a month, as they beat the Cubbies, 4-3.

The Phils come from behind to defeat the Cubs, 4-3, taking the four games series.

The Cubs took the lead in the first as, with one man on, and with one man out, Starlin Castro hits an RBI double, knocking in Darwin Barney, giving the Cubs a 1-0 lead. The Cubs then jumped to a 3-0 lead as, with one man on, and now with two men out, Aramis Ramirez hits a two-run home run, his fourth home run of the year, scoring Castro. The Phils got a run back in their half of the first as, with two men on, and with one man out, Ryan Howard hits an RBI double, knocking in Shane Victorino, who was earlier safe at first on a force out, 6-4, as Jimmy Rollins, who had earlier singled, was wiped out at second, then stopped at third on Chase Utley’s single, making it a 3-1 Cubs’ lead, while Utley, who had just singled,  would stop at third base. The Phils then made it a 3-2 Cubs’ lead in the third as, with the bases loaded, via a walk to Utley, a single by Howard, sending Utley to third, and a walk to Ben Francisco, moving Howard up to second base, and with one man out, Raul Ibanez hits an RBI single, scoring Utley, while sending Howard to third base and Francisco up to second base because the ball was hit sharply to right. The Phils took the lead in the seventh as, with two men on, and with nobody out, Howard hits a two-run single scoring Victorino, who had been hit by the pitch, then stopped at third on Utley’s double, and Utley, who had just doubled, giving the Phils a 4-3 lead. That would be the final score as Ryan Madson would convert his fifteenth save of the year with a strong ninth inning.

Roy Oswalt (4-4, 3.14) got the win, as he pitched seven innings, giving up three runs on five hits and two walks, as he struck out five. Michael Stutes collected his fourth hold of the year as he pitched a 1-2-3 inning, striking out two.
