That would end up being the final score as Dan Uggla grounds out softly, 5-3, for the game’s final out.
Cole Hamels (5-13, 3.65) got the win as he threw a complete game, giving up just one run on six scattered hits and a walk, while striking out nine. Julio Teheran (9-6, 3.08) took the lost as he pitched six innings, giving up four runs on six hits, a walk and a hit batter, while striking out six. Luis Ayala and Scott Downs combined for two scoreless innings, giving up a walk (Ayala) between them, while striking out a batter (Downs). Anthony Varvaro pitched an inning, giving up a run on two hits, while striking out a batter.
