Timely hitting, and a few Yanks’ mistakes, help leads the Phils to their second straight win as they even up their spring record, as they win by the score of 10-5.
The Phils took the lead in the first as, with two men on, and with nobody out, Chase Utley reaches first base on first baseman Kyle Roller’s fielding error, allowing Jimmy Rollins, who had started the game off with a walk, then reached second base on Ben Revere’s single, to score, giving the Phils’ a 1-0 lead, while Revere, who had just singled, would move up to third base on the error. The Phils then took a 10-4 lead as, now with runners on the corners, and with two men out, Freddy Galvis hits an RBI single, scoring Ruf, while sending Mayberry on to third base. The Yanks would get a run back in their half of the seventh as, with two men out, Melky Mesa hits a solo home run, his second home run of the spring, making it a 10-5 Phils’ lead.
